Marie Claire Needs Fall '08 Intern (NYC)

Do you want to work with Nina Garcia? Share your first day together at Marie Claire, except she'll be in a corner office and you will be an intern in the fashion closet.  My college readers, it's that time during the summer to get your house in order, meaning get that fall internship so you can graduate, get a chic job, make lots of money to buy shoes and handbags when you grow up.  Also, get your first dip at fashion week.

Marie Claire is looking for fashion interns for fall '08 to start ASAP through December. Responsibilities include outreaching to publicists for designer samples, messengering samples to and from showrooms, assisting with editorial shoots, steaming clothes, taking digital photos (tons), I.D.'ing sample inventory, assisting editors with fashion week invites, RSVP's and seating assignments and yep, coffee runs. If you're good enough (or if you know a friend, sister or cousin) please email resume along w/a brief paragraph stating your ambitions.

Inspiration: Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie has come a long way from her days with that stylist Rachel Zoe. Now she's a haute mama, devoted girlfriend, actress (see her role in 'Chuck') and there's a lot of production deals on her plate.  I'm not sure if she uses a stylist now, but just having watched her through the many years, her designer choices are up to par. Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten, Missoni, Lanvin and many other great labels. She keeps it very L.A. when it's a casual walk with baby Harlow (and her weekly driving education classes) and quite the chic-glam girl that she is for the red carpet.
